Dr. Yannis Charalabidis is the Head of Information Systems Laboratory. He is an Assistant Professor in the University of Aegean, in the area of eGovernance Information Systems, while also heading ICT research in the Decision Support Systems Laboratory of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), coordinating policy making, research and pilot application projects for governments and enterprises worldwide.  A computer engineer with a PhD in complex information systems, he has been employed for several years as an executive director in Singular IT Group, leading software development and company expansion in Europe, India and the US. He writes and teaches on Service Systems, Enterprise Interoperability, Government Transformation and Citizen Participation in NTUA and the University of Aegean. He has published more the 100 papers in international journals and conferences. He is Best Paper Award winner of the EGOV 2008 Conference, Best eGovernment Paper Nominee in the 42nd HICSS Conference, 1st Prize Nominee in the 2009 European eGovernment Awards.

Dr. Spyros Kokolakis is the Deputy Head of Information Systems Laboratory. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean. He holds a B.Sc. (Informatics) and a Ph.D. (Information Systems) from the Athens University of Economics & Business (GR). His current research interests include: Information Systems Security Management, Risk Assessment and Management, and Security and Privacy Economics. He is an author of several refereed papers in international scientific journals and conferences. He has participated in several EU funded R&D Projects. He has also participated in risk analysis and policy development projects for several organizations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EKO-ELDA Petroleum S.A., National Insurance Foundation (ΙΚΑ), Ministry of National Economy, Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals, Ministry of Finance, Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and other.

Dr. Euripidis Loukis is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Decision Support Systems at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean. Formerly he has been Information Systems Advisor at the Ministry to the Presidency of the Government of Greece, Technical Director of the Program of Modernization of Greek Public Administration of the Second Community Support Framework and National Representative of Greece in the programs ‘Telematics’ and ‘IDA’ (Interchange of Data between Administrations) of the European Union. He is the author of numerous scientific articles in international journals and conferences; one of them has been honoured with the International Award of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers – Controls and Diagnostics Committee. His current research interests include e-government, e-participation, information systems value/impacts and internal/external determinants, business process adaptation and medical decision support systems.

Dr. Maria Karyda holds a B.Sc. in Informatics, an M.Sc. in Information Systems and a PhD in Information Systems Security Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Department of Informatics. She is currently an Assistant Professor with the University of the Aegean, Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering. She has collaborated with several education institutes, including the Athens University of Economics and Business, the University of the Aegean and the Technical Institute of Athens, public organizations, including the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Social Security (IKA), the General Hospital of Nikaia, the Greek Archaeological Receipts Fund, the Athens Water Supply & Sewerage Company, the General Secretariat of Social Security and private companies, including INFO-QUEST and the Greek Lottery S.A. She has also participated in national and EU funded R&D projects, such as the SERENITY and the e-VOTE project (EU / IST Programmes), DAMES-T (General Secretariat for Research and Technology), PYTHAGORAS (Greek Ministry of Education / EPEAEK Programme). Her research interests include Security Privacy in Social Networks.

Dr. Dimitris A. Drossos is a Lecturer of eBusiness at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean. His main teaching and research interests lie in the areas of eBusiness (emphasizing on electronic marketing and wireless services). He has numerous publications in international journals and conferences including the International Journal of Electronic Commerce and the European Marketing Academy Conference.

Dr. Manolis Maragoudakis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of the University of the Aegean, specialising in data and text mining methods and tools. He obtained his diploma in computer science from the Computer Science Department, University of Crete in 1999. He joined the University of Patras, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2000 and he obtained his PhD in artificial intelligence in 2005.
